18th Annual Convention
The Mississippi Chapter of the Electronic Security Association (ESA) is pleased to announce we will be hosting our 18th Annual Convention at Harrah’s Casino in Tunica, MS.
Wednesday events include a Skeet Shoot, Golf, continuing education classes, a Meet & Greet reception for vendors and registered attendees, and ending the night with a laugh at the Funny Bone Comedy Club.
Thursday activities include more continuing education classes, a Statewide Meeting/Luncheon with elections and special guest speakers, and the grand finale—a Vendor Trade Show.
Harrah’s Tunica is an exciting place! Low overnight accommodations of $59 will make it an affordable event for electronic security dealers in Mississippi as well as Arkansas and Tennessee. Additional goodies for all registered attendees include $10 in free play redeemable at Harrah’s Casino, a discount voucher for the Paula Deen Buffet, and free admission to the Funny Bone Comedy Club. If that’s not enough, onsite there is a Bellissimo Spa & Salon, additional dining and bar facilities with bands and live DJs, Kid’s Quest and Arcade for children six weeks to 12 years old AND Casino Factory Shoppes. In nearby Memphis, you can visit Graceland, Beale Street, Mud Island and the National Civil Rights Museum. So you can see why we are so excited this year! There are many activities to tempt the electronic security dealer to get away for a day or two with the ultimate goal of seeing your products and services!

Call for Vendors and Instructors
Our big Exhibitor Day is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012. We will have plenty of food, fun and fellowship. There are many opportunities for sponsorship—so take advantage of these and have your company’s name promoted and seen.
The first 10 companies to register for the trade show will have their name broadcast on the jumbotron during the show.
12 hours of continuing education units are required in Mississippi for residential electronic security dealers to renew their license each year. This is one of the biggest draws of the convention for dealers. Vendors will be offered the opportunity to sponsor continuing education courses (CEU’s) in two hour increments. There is no additional cost to associate members for teaching CEU classes. Cost is $200 each for companies who are not associate member of the Mississippi Alarm Association. All courses must be NTS approved. Certificates to students must be distributed at the end of each class. To register as an instructor complete the registration form or download the form and fax it to (601) 372-2667.
The booth set up is a standard 6 foot table, and includes drapery, table and identification sign. The early bird price is $550 and additional booths are $300. Registrations received after August 1, 2012 are $650 and additional booths are $325. The Meet & Greet Reception allows an additional opportunity for vendors and registered attendees to get acquainted prior to the trade show. After enjoying some light hors d’oeuvres with current and prospective customers at the reception, head to the Funny Bone Comedy Club to mingle some more. To register for your booth and select sponsorships complete the online ticket form or download the form and fax it to (601) 372-2667. You can also mail it to MAA, PO Box 720252, Byram, MS 39272.
